Luis Hinojosa, Principal

I am Luis Hinojosa, principal of Pitcher Elementary School. I have been a middle school teacher, high school assistant principal, elementary principal, high school principal and college instructor during my educational career. I have an amazing wife and 3 awesome kids. My oldest son currently attends Johnson County Community College and is majoring in education as well. I am constantly asked, “What do you love about KCPS?”and my response has always been “the students”. We have awesome students who are brilliant, creative, passionate, tenacious, and caring. It’s my job to get that spotlight to shine on them so the world can see the powerful students we are producing at KCPS.

Kelsey Davis, Principal

Hello! My name is Kelsey Davis. I am honored to be the Vice Principal at Pitcher Elementary. I have been an administer here for 2 years. I previously taught 5th grade at Pitcher as well. I truly enjoy Pitcher and value our students, families, and staff. I was previously named 2023 Teacher of the Year and continue to strive to bring all of what I learned in the classroom to the entire building! I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Central Missouri and my master's degree in Language and Literacy at Park University. I then received my education specialist degree in K-12 Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. I share 3 kids with my amazing husband. I am always striving to educate myself to help better serve our students. I am dedicated to building relationships, open communication, and collaboration between parents, students, teachers, and our community. I am truly excited about the journey ahead and the positive impact we can make together!
